Carpets and Kilims

General Information

Carpeting and Rug making Program, which was opened in the 2003-2004 academic year with the aim of raising personnel equipped with technical knowledge and skills in this field, continues its teaching activities with a production workshop with ten carpets and ten rug looms and three instructors.

Our graduates taking theoretical and applied branch courses such as Experimental Workshop (Carpet Design, Rug Design, Carpet and Rug Maintenance and Repair), Carpet / Rug History, Carpet / Rug /-Weaving Techniques and Application, Textile Fibers, Natural Dyes can work as carpet and rug technicians in private and public institutions.

Job Opportunities

In the carpet industry, which has an important export potential for our country, well-trained carpet and rug technicians have many job opportunities. Carpet and rug technicians can work in the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of National Education and Public Education Centres, private weaving factories, private enterprises or can establish their own businesses.

Carpet, Rug and Old Fabric Patterns departments of fine arts faculties can transfer vertically to undergraduate programs such as Decorative Arts Teaching, Flower Knitting Weaving Teaching, Embroidery Teaching, Traditional Turkish Handicrafts, Traditional Turkish Handicrafts Teaching, Textile Weaving and Knitting Teaching.

History
Academic Year 2002-2003 under Firat University Vocational School opened.
After the establishment of the university in 2007 Bingöl Bingöl University Vocational School took place on site.
As of 2010 posts Bingol University of Technical Sciences Vocational School program serves as training.

Assessment and Grading
The students are subject to mid-term and the final exam. -Examination out of 100 points measured. -To be successful in a course a semester / year-end or make-up exams at least 50 points, the course must be at least 60 achievement points. -Get all the courses have been achieved and the academic grade point average must be at least 60.
