General Information

Construction Technology Program is one of the programs of Vocational School of Technical Sciences. The program offers education with gifted staff and 90 students are accepted to the program each year.

General Information

The aim of the Construction Technology program is to train personnel who can interpret and implement the architectural project, design and draw the project alone when necessary, know how to use a computer, design and analyse with package programs especially on architecture-reinforced concrete, have knowledge of multi-purpose programs such as AutoCAD, Word, Excel, can use the construction materials, know the properties of cement and concrete, calculate concrete mix, arrange exploration, quantity, progress payment, are knowledgeable about topography and application, can measure land, reinforce their theoretical knowledge during the internship period, and follow scientific and technological developments.

Our graduates have the opportunity to work in private engineering-architecture offices, construction companies, building inspection institutions and the public sector (Public Works, DSI, Highways, Municipalities, etc.) with the title of construction technician. In addition, he is authorized to see the surveillance services of all constructions, and to act as assistant control staff and assistant site chief in all kinds of construction whose responsibility is undertaken by engineers and architects. The construction industry needs trained intermediate staff who are theoretically equipped and have practical skills in the project, manufacturing and control stages.

The two-year associate degree program is carried out with theoretical and applied courses.

Construction technicians constitute the professional group working as technical staff in natural resource, transportation/highway, building departments and material testing laboratories of public or local administrations and companies actively involved in building constructions such as dam, road, airport, residence etc. and providing inspection services. They play an important role as technical staff in the planning, project, construction and control stages of all buildings from highways, bridges, dams, airports, water supply / distribution systems and residences to commercial centres.

Evaluation

Exams are measured out of 100 points.

In order to pass a course successfully, the semester/end of the year or make-up exam score must be at least 50 and the grade point average must be at least 60.

Students who successfully complete all of the courses (total 120 ECTS) given in the program, achieve a grade point average of at least 60 out of 100, and complete their professional internship, are awarded an associate degree in construction technology. This diploma degree awarded corresponds to the fifth level of education within the scope of the European Qualifications Framework.

Due to the importance of the construction sector, especially in developing countries, Bingöl Vocational School Construction Program has adopted the task of educating specialists who can transfer theory to practice, balance between technical and general issues, and adapt to all kinds of technological developments.

Those who successfully complete Construction Technology associate degree program can transfer vertically to one of the four-year undergraduate programs in the following fields if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam conducted by Student Selection and Placement Centre:

History
Construction Technology Program Bingol University of Technical Sciences Vocational School is located in one of the programs. There are an assistant professor and three faculty members in the program. Program each year, including 60 during the day and 35 at night, 95 students are accepted.
Qualification Awarded
All of the courses in the program (120 ECTS) have successfully completed at least 60 out of 100 who achieve grade point average, professional training to students who complete the associate's degree in the field of CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY is given. Given that the diploma degree, the scope of the European Qualifications Framework levels of education correspond to the fifth level.

Assessment and Grading
-Examination out of 100 points measured.
