Gas and Installation Technology

Goal

Today, the use of energy sources that do not harm the environment has increased significantly, and it has begun to play a decisive role in energy supply and security issues in international economy and politics. The existence of environmentally friendly, safe, cheap and long-lasting reserves for human and natural life has made natural gas as a primary energy source to be used more widely than alternatives. Improving air quality, being used in industrial processes for production purposes, and also being used in the production of electrical energy in cycle power plants have transformed the natural gas industry into a business field that is providing tens of thousands of new jobs for our country as the fastest growing industry. It is obvious how important it is to train a workforce with the knowledge and skills appropriate to the requirements of natural gas and installation technology. It is seen that there will be significant investments in the energy sector in our country in the coming years, and accordingly, there will be a significant increase in employment in the field of Natural Gas and Installation Technology. Students who graduate from the Natural Gas and Installation Technology Program are employed in companies producing goods/services in the natural gas sector, industrial organizations producing heating and chimney systems, natural gas distribution companies, and heating units in public institutions. In addition, due to the comprehensive nature of the program, there are opportunities to be employed in many different positions for the need for technical intermediate staff in the energy sector.

Career Paths

Students who graduate from the Gas and Installation Technology Program are employed in companies producing goods/services in the natural gas sector, industrial organizations producing heating and chimney systems, natural gas distribution companies and heating units in public institutions in line with the competencies they have gained.

Program Profile

The most important aim of the Gas and Installation Technology Program is to provide an education service that is suitable for the requirements of the information age and business life with the principle of lifelong education and to provide life skills with modern teaching methods. It is aimed to ensure that our students who grow up in this direction are educated as individuals who use the equipment they have optimally, research continually, who want to contribute to the development of the country and their profession, who constantly renew themselves by following the developments in their field, who have original ideas and who are analytical.
