Machine
General Information
The graduate student is given an associate degree in the Machinery Program and the title of "Technician". Professional competencies gained in the program are evaluated in career development in business life, in certificate programs and in transitions to all other programs when requested. The machine program is a program that provides theoretical and practical education specific to the field of machinery such as design, production, materials and measurement, as well as courses for basic sciences. The main goal of the program is to train technicians who have the knowledge required by rapidly developing science and technology, the skills to transfer this knowledge to practice, as well as the ability to analyse and synthesize. The program has a training period of two years (4 semesters).
Admission Requirements
Students are required to have a high school or equivalent school diploma and to get sufficient points from the university student selection exam.
Aim
The mechanical technician program provides students with knowledge and skills about industry-based machining and chipless production methods, computer-aided design and production (CAD-CAM-EDM, etc.), measurement and quality control, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and maintenance-repair techniques of materials used in the industry. The program also provides students with management formation that is necessary for them to take on the workshop responsibility. In addition, students are taught a foreign language (English) to enable them to follow the innovations in the field.
Graduation Requirements
In order for students to graduate, they must complete 120 ECTS (30 ECTS/ECTS credits for each semester) and provide the weighted grade point average determined by the university senate. Students are required to take the courses determined in the curriculum, complete the internship for 30 working days, and have a weighted grade point average of at least 2.
Career Paths
Students who graduate from the machine program can take part in the programming and operation of CNC turning/milling machines, the maintenance and repair of production machines, the preparation of the layout plans of the machines in the factories, the implementation of quality management systems, business follow-up, technical service and promotion.
When students graduate, the courses and modules showing the qualifications they have gained during the education period are specified in the diploma supplement.
If students leave without completing the program, a document showing the competencies, courses and modules they have gained during the education period is given.
Professional competencies gained in the program are evaluated in career development in business life, in certificate programs and in transitions to all other programs when requested.
Students who graduated from the machine program have knowledge about the use of all kinds of machines, the design and production of machine parts that are subject to production in the production areas related to them with computer aided design (CAD-CAM), maintenance and repair, measurement and quality control, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. They also gain knowledge and skills on material recognition and inspection, drawing machine manufacturing technical drawings and processing them on the relevant benches using machining and non-chip manufacturing methods. Those who successfully complete the machinery associate degree program can transfer vertically to the following undergraduate programs if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam conducted by Student Selection and Placement Centre

MYO Machine Program is a Machine Technician field with a wide working area.
Machine Technician has a wide range of work areas from computer aided design and production to line planning areas, maritime to aviation. MYO Machinery Program is a department that deals with the design, production and maintenance of many hardware, machinery, tools, devices, systems and processes that we need in daily life and production.
Today, our industrialists strongly need Machine Technicians who have a well-trained education. These Machine Technicians are also provided with a range of opportunities both domestically and abroad, both financially and in terms of improving and advancing themselves in their careers.
Machine Technician is the person who plays a role in designing, producing and maintaining maintenance in a manner that is valid, efficient, safe, economical, respectful to the environment and ethical values. The employment, job and career fields of the students who will graduate in the MYO Machine Program are spread over a wide range and scale, and these fields are indicated in the following table.
The language of the program is Turkish.
